Behold The Savior - Day 24

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you and your family have a special day. 🎄✨🕯️🎁

Today’s Devotional: The Joy of His Birth

Wednesday, December 24

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11

Christmas is joyful because something amazing happened. A Savior was born. God kept His promise and sent His Son into the world. This is why Christmas feels fun. There is laughter, anticipation and celebration everywhere. Homes are decorated, music fills the air, gifts are wrapped and people gather together.

Christmas is joyful because it celebrates something real. It’s not just a fairy tale. When the angel declared that a Savior had been born, it changed everything. Sin would be forgiven. Death would be defeated. God had come to earth as a baby. An ordinary night turned into a night the world would never forget

We give gifts because Jesus was the first Christmas gift. We decorate because the Light entered the darkness. We sing because the angels rejoiced over the birth of Christ.

Christmas Eve is a reminder that the waiting is almost over. The promise has been fulfilled. The Savior has been born. The spell is about to be broken. Just like Jesus came the first time, He is coming again.

Reflection:

• What part of Christmas brings you the most joy?

• How can we make this season more about Jesus?

• Reflect on the anticipation and excitement of waiting for the coming of Christ.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into the world as our Savior. Help us to rejoice in your coming and look forward to the next one. In your name, amen.
