Behold The Savior - Day 21
Today’s Devotional: Joy In Worship 🐫⭐️🎁
Sunday, December 21
“And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.” Matthew 2:9–11
We don’t know exactly where the wise men came from, but we know it was a long way. They went through deserts, rivers and mountains to find a mystery baby. They had many adventures on their way and were almost stopped by an evil king. After many months of planning and trudging, they finally reached the place where Jesus laid. When they saw the baby, they overflowed with praise and devotion.
This is the joy of Christmas for us. It’s not about the traditions, lights, or gifts, but about finding Jesus. The God of the universe has moved next door and revealed Himself to us. With the wise men, there was a celestial star pointing the way to the Savior. They were so full of joy that they brought the most expensive gifts to offer their King. When we worship the King, we should offer something of value. Maybe it’s our time, our words or our wealth, but all of us have something to offer. What can you bring to the King this Christmas?
The joy of Christmas is not found in what we receive, but in what we give. Our time. Our obedience. Our praise. Our hearts. When we worship Him in spirit and truth, our joy is made full. If you haven’t encountered Jesus yet, come to Him today. He has revealed Himself and wants to fill you with joy.

Reflection:
• Reflect on the joy you found when encountering Jesus.
• What gift (time, obedience, praise) can you offer Jesus today?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for revealing yourself to us. Fill our hearts with joy as we worship you. We love to worship and bring our gifts. Help us to worship you throughout the week. Amen.
